La Pizzaiola

La Pizzaiola

15/3 Jalan Riang

La Pizzaiola is located in the hip Jalan Riang area and is just one restaurant away from Siam Society. Between them is a really busy cafe, Wimbly Lu. As I have heard that this restaurant serves really delicious pizza at wallet friendly prices, I was intrigued to pay them a visit as it is really hard to find good restaurants at good prices in today’s expensive sg. Met up K and we went to his neighbourhood for lunch!

DSC_0709Mushroom soup for about $8. This bowl of soup has the right taste but not thick enough. It was slightly on the diluted side for us. If it is thicker and creamier, it would have been a good bowl of mushroom soup.

Crust was thin and the pizza is not too cheesy. Chopped tomatoes make it tastes juicier and fresh. I believe this prevents it from tasting too dry. Yummy. $19.90.

DSC_0714Parma and Rucola Pizza for $19.90. This pizza is my favourite! I love the generous slices of thin parma ham and the fragrant and fresh rocket beneath it. This pizza has more melted cheese on it and has a totato base as well. Tasted moist and very delicious when eaten together with the rocket and ham. I think this is a must order if u don’t mind or like the taste of rockets. K didn’t like rockets and I had the privilege to scrape every green from his share. Crust was really thin too which I like. Satisfied!

DSC_0719Love the mount fuji tshirt that I got from tokyo uni qlo. Looks like a rip off of that heart brand, doesn’t it.

So, it is a pizza day! I heard that their pasta and others tasted normal and so didn’t get them. I’m sure you will be satisfied if you stick to their pizza. These pizzas are 11 inch and are all under $20 (considering that $19.90 is < $20). Such good pizzas can easily cost more than $20 if you were to try to get them in town area, such as Da Mario Pizzeria. This is really a good pizza place for ppl living in the eastern side. Spent about $28 for this meal per person. They also have two other pizzas not in the menu, which is the four cheese pizza and beef pizza. Knowing that they make four cheese pizza, it makes this place feels even more authentic and I almost wanted to get it but thought I should have a lighter meal today. It should be a pretty good pizza as the combination of four cheeses makes the pizza exceptionally fragrant. Had it before and I loved it.

Verdict:

good restaurant.
