MEDZS Bistro & Bar

Clifford Centre next to Raffles Place MRT Station Exit A

IMG_7721Heads up for all CBD workers around the Raffles Place area as the conveniently located MEDZS Bistro has launched its brand new hearty Breakfast menu that would definitely enliven your day. Its unbeatable current promotion not only allows you to grab a free cup of aromatic coffee (for both dine-in and takeaway) with every breakfast item, but also a whopping 50% discount would be applied to all takeaway items on display! Alright, enough of the irresistible promotion and lets take a look at what tantalising items are on the new menu!

MedzThese crispy, fluffy Viennoiserie croissants come in three exciting flavours that ranges from the creamy intense Turkish-spiced Chicken ($3.90), classic Pork ham and cheese ($3.90) that is almost impossible to go awry to the refreshingly light but substantial Lemonade Crab meat Mayo ($4.90).

IMG_7713Moving to the section on the French Pizza Bread, they are all seductively prepared with the stone oven olive bread that is kissed with a charred fragrance. This huge Pesto Herbs & white mushroom Cream was an impeccable combination as the chewy semi-molten cheese complements perfectly the aroma of the mushrooms. $12.90.

IMG_7714Of course the list of Pizza Bread doesn’t stop there as 3 other equally praiseworthy flavours were also introduced to us – Magherita (Buffalo Mozzarella Cheese, Tomato& Basil) ($12.90), Al Fruiti De Mare which is essentially a seafood pizza that is laid with the popular ingredients like prawn, tuna and crab. Out of which, my favourite was actually the simple but satisfying Cheesy pull-apart bread sprinkled with parsley and basil ($9.90) as its fluffy and slightly stretchy consistency is reminiscent of the fragrant melted cheese in it.

Medz-001If you are looking for the more common Artisan Sandwichs & Baguette, MEDZS Bistro would also not disappoint you as its eclectic choices would sweep you through almost the entire of Western Europe. Just to name a few tantalising examples – Laugen Brotchen with Pork Bierschinken & Red Cheddar Cheese (German) ($11.90), Beef Pastrami with Rustic Baguette (French) ($12.90), Olive Ciabatta with Prosciutto & Veal Paprika Lyoner Ham (Italian) ($12.90) and the Italian Panini bread with tomato capresse & Buffalo Mozzarella ($12.90).

IMG_7704And if you cannot miss your daily egg intake, I would recommend the buttery, fragrant Scramble eggs that is paired classically with Chicken Sausage, Mushroom and Bacon.

Medz-002Well, I may sound a bit facetious but the rainbow cake over here is a must order! Beautifully layered, these colourful strata are made even more delicious with a thin layer of fresh cream applied in between them. Though they may seem straightforward, desserts are definitely their forte as the Red velvet, Walnut carrot cake and Salted Caramel Cheesecake were all spot on while the sponge were all moist, flavourful and fresh! $6.90 each.

Slightly different from its predecessors, this third and most current MEDZS outlet has recently turned into a unique Bistro-by-Day and Doorstep-Bar-by-Night restaurant. And by judging from the spread of food served, it is evidently a restaurant that specializes in Mediterranean cuisine (and therefore its name). So, CBD workers out there, hesitate no longer as the huge discounts and invigorating breakfast served over here will definitely make your day!

Thank you Li Qin for the kind invitation!
